Students Earn Points with Great American Teach In
Students – Do you know someone with a fascinating career in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)? Invite them to speak at our school AND earn HOUSE POINTS! Family members, friends, neighbors – anyone with a STEM-related job or passion is welcome!
If YOU help bring in a guest speaker, you’ll earn 20 House Points! Make sure they sign up and mention your name when they do.
Senior Seminar – FAFSA Workshop – October 28, 6 – 8 pm
Mark your calendar. Our next Senior Seminar is October 28 from 6 – 8 pm. This will be a workshop for FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). In the meantime, I will be working with your seniors to create their FSA account as that is the first step.

Why You Should Fill Out the FAFSA (Even If You Think You Don’t Need It)
- Free Money (Grants): You could get federal grants like the Pell Grant — money you don’t have to pay back.
- Work-Study Jobs: Part-time jobs on or near campus that help you earn money while you’re in school.
- Federal Loans: Lower interest rates and better repayment options than private loans. Some are available no matter your income.
More Aid from Your State & School
- State Scholarships/Grants: Many states use FAFSA info to decide who gets aid — and it’s often first-come, first-served.
- College Aid: Schools use FAFSA to build your financial aid package, including scholarships. Some even require it for merit-based awards.
Smart Planning & Backup Options
- Emergency Help: If your family’s financial situation changes (job loss, illness, etc.), having a FAFSA on file means you can still get help.
- More Time to Decide: Filing early means you get your aid offers sooner — giving you time to compare schools and plan ahead.
- Easier Next Time: Once you do it the first year, renewing it each year is way faster.

Congrats to our swim team who blew Anclote out of the water this week! We took first, second, and third in many of the events.
Angeline Varsity Competition Cheer Team Tryouts
Do you have school spirit? Do you love to perform, compete, and be part of a team? Then we want YOU to come try out for the Angeline Varsity Competition Cheer Team!
Tryouts will be held on Tuesday, October 1st, and Wednesday, October 2nd at the athletic complex from 3:30 to 5:30 PM.
We’re looking for dedicated, hardworking, and competitive cheerleaders who are ready to represent Angeline with pride. This is your chance to show off your skills, join an amazing team, and take your cheer game to the next level!
So if you’re ready to commit, work hard, and have fun—we’ll see you at tryouts!
