SAC Grant Program

The Angeline School Advisory Committee (SAC) is pleased to announce the creation of the SAC Grant Program.  The program awards grants to faculty and staff based on a simple one-page proposal voted on by the SAC at its (almost) monthly meetings.

Grant proposals should be aligned with the school improvement plan which has areas of focus on Culture, Rigorous Instruction and Data Driven Decision Making.  In addition, we’d like to encourage proposals that are innovative and experimental.  The SAC Grant may be used as “seed funding” to get an activity off the ground, but one should not expect it to provide annual, multi-year funding.  Leveraging multiple sources of funding in addition to the SAC Grant to achieve something larger is not ruled out.  The other funds being leveraged should be noted in the grant proposal. The SAC Grant Program should not be used for ordinary teaching resources, funding activities more aligned with the mission of the PTSA, and areas where there is a clear alternate source of funding.

This year the total funding of the program is approximately $2000.  There are no hard request limits for the grant proposals, although we expect most individual proposals will be in the $50 to $300 range.

Your proposal should be submitted to the SAC Treasurer at AngelineSACTreasurer@gmail.com a week before the end of the month.  Proposals received will be reviewed and voted on by SAC membership in attendance at the next SAC meeting, as long as quorum is achieved.  It is anticipated that most proposals will receive a clear Approved or Not Approved outcome.  Given the limited budget, some proposals may be tabled until we get a sense of the number and scope of proposals being submitted by the faculty and staff.

We will entertain student-led proposals; however, each student-led proposal should have a sponsoring faculty or staff member. If you have questions about the SAC Grant Program, please reach out to the SAC Treasurer at AngelineSACTreasurer@gmail.com or the SAC Chair at AngelineSACChair@gmail.com.
