AAI Welcomes New Cybersecurity Teacher!

We are pleased to share that Ms. Obafunke (Kay) Abimbola has joioned our school as the new Cybersecurity Teacher. We are excited to welcome her to our community and look forward to the expertise and enthusiasm she will bring to our Cybersecurity pathway.

Ms. Abimbola comes to us with a strong background in technology, cybersecurity, and educational technology. Most recently, she served as an HRIS Specialist and Learning Systems Administrator, where she managed learning management systems, compliance training programs, and technology platforms supporting organizational learning and development. Prior to that, she worked as a Classroom Technology Analyst, supporting digital learning environments, managing school-issued devices, administering Canvas LMS, and collaborating with educators to enhance student learning through technology. She also holds industry-recognized certifications, including CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Linux+, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, which provide a strong foundation in cybersecurity, cloud computing, and information technology.

We know that finding the right individual to lead this pathway was incredibly important, and we appreciate your patience throughout the hiring process. Our goal was to select a candidate who not only possesses strong technical expertise, but also understands how to engage and support students as they develop the skills needed for future careers in technology and cybersecurity. We are confident that Ms. Abimbola is that person.
